TLC Photography

I love photography. I love capturing the world through the lens of a camera. I love seeing what a change in lighting or a different angle can do to alter the outcome of an image. Most of all I love seeing the looks on my clients faces when they see that I managed to capture the very thing they wanted captured, a memory.

I got my first SLR as a graduation present. It was a film camera my parents picked up at a pawn shop.  I was hired out of high school as a newspaper reporter and I learned tricks of the trade from our staff photographers. Five years later I was working at a military newspaper and had my first chance to use a DSLR. I was given the opportunity to use the best Nikon DSLR equipment available an absolutely loved taking photos of Soldiers jumping out of planes, storming buildings, hugging loved ones on redeployments, fishing with their children and so much more. It was here I started branching out into portrait photography.

It has been several years since I have been a staff photographer, but since then I have acquired equipment that rivels anything news staffs or many studios have. I now shoot Canon and enjoy both Canon and Nikon cameras, they both have their strengths.

My photography is heavily influenced by my 12 years of photojournalism background.  I have also had photos published in magazines, on the cover of a book, newspapers, online media, posters and even on a military POG used as money downrange.

Many people ask what I shoot so here is a list of my equipment:
